One dead after accident in East Charlotte: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (NEWS FROM QUEEN CITY) — One person was killed in an accident on Monday evening. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD).

Police first reported the incident shortly after 11 p.m. on June 10, saying they were investigating a fatal crash in the 300 block of the Plaza. It is unclear what led to the accident.

The plaza is closed between Herrin Avenue and E. 36th Street. The public is asked to avoid the area.
