Somerset appoints new police chief

SOMERSET, Kentucky (WYMT) – On Monday, June 10, Somerset Mayor Alan Keck announced Major Josh Wesley as the new Police Chief.

Chief Wesley has served the Somerset Police Department for more than 18 years.

Wesley served as a field training officer, patrol officer, patrol lieutenant, patrol commander with the rank of captain, assistant police chief with the rank of major, and acting police chief of the Somerset PD.
