10-year-old found dead with mother in car; GoFundMe created

The Mt. Lebanon Fire Department has launched a GoFundMe campaign for a 10-year-old girl found dead in a car with her mother over the weekend. Authorities found the bodies of 43-year-old Serena Guan and 10-year-old Abigail Neal in a car in South Park on Friday. Investigators say there were no obvious signs of injuries. Court records show Guan’s husband filed for divorce and sought custody on March 8. A custody agreement was scheduled for Friday afternoon. A coroner has not released a cause or manner of death. The GoFundMe campaign states: “The Mt. Lebanon Fire Department is devastated by the recent loss of family members of one of our own members, Firefighter Chris Neal. At the same time, the Mt. Lebanon School District mourns the loss of Abigail Neal, a sweet and bright student who brought joy to all who knew her at Howe Elementary School.” GoFundMe donations will help pay for funeral and other related expenses.
