BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Before being the birthplace of live music and Food Truck Tuesdays, Larkinville wasn’t known for its grandeur.

“Bars in bad shape. Neighborhood in disarray. It was a risk to make an investment here,” said Abraham Hernández, who moved to the neighborhood in 1978.

Now, he is in love with this neighborhood and the renaissance it is experiencing.

So let’s take a look at some of the places that make it such a destination.

“I just had someone over today who said I can’t believe how many awesome spaces there are, they’re really excited that this place is being taken over and it’s become this incredible community and neighborhood.”

“We’ll continue to add more housing, we’ll potentially add a hotel later, we’re always talking about what’s 5 years, what’s 10 years,” said Leslie Zemsky, vice president of Larkin Development Group.
