Wife of an influencer known as Comicstorian announces tragedy and promises to continue his channel

YouTube star Ben Potter has died at the age of 40 as a result of what his wife Nathalie Potter described as an “unfortunate accident”.

“Two days ago, on June 8th, my husband Ben Potter passed away in a unfortunate accident,” Nathalie said in a statement on Comicstorian’s Twitter page.

She mentioned his work as a content creator, saying, “For many of you, he was a comics storyteller who gave voice to stories from many different media.”

“To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most helpful people anyone could wish for.”

Nathalie mentioned her late husband’s “loving and sincere” nature “as a husband, son, brother, friend or simply as a stranger”.

She added: “He was someone who listened and made time for his loved ones. He did his best to make everyone laugh and make sure they were OK.”

“He was our rock and always reassured his loved ones when they needed it.”

Nathalie spoke about her personal feelings during this tragic time.

“He was my everything and I need time for my friends and family,” said Nathalie. “I have so many things to sort out, but first I need to grieve.”

“I ask that you respect my privacy as well as that of everyone else. Right now, my priority is to preserve everything he has built and I have no further plans.

The late content creator’s wife said his YouTube channel was “one of his greatest achievements” and she plans to continue it in due course.

“We all need time to grieve, but I know he wouldn’t have wanted it to end this way,” she said. “Ben spent over 10 years spreading his love and appreciation for his hobbies.”

“His love of exciting stories and well-written characters is what got him started on YouTube.”

Among the tributes, one user praised Potter for gaining a huge audience for the comic genre through his YouTube page.
Numerous online users expressed their condolences in response to the sad announcement and praised Potter’s talent as a creator and his kind personality in general.

She said she and Potter’s colleagues “want to keep that going” and honor the late creator “by continuing to tell great stories about great people and keeping the memory of our own superhero alive.”

She concluded: “We supported each other in everything we wanted to do and I have no plans to stop now.”

In response to the sad announcement, numerous online users expressed their condolences and praised Potter’s talent as a creator and his generally kind personality.

“I’m so sorry for your loss and for all of us,” one user said. “I watched countless hours of his videos over the years and his love for comics and storytelling was evident in his enthusiasm in each and every video. He will be greatly missed.”

Another user called the news devastating and heartbreaking and thanked Potter for bringing a huge audience to the comic genre.

“Comicstorian was an absolutely incredible YouTuber who pioneered so much and got so many people reading comics,” the user said. “Rest in peace.”

One user said: “I am so sorry for your loss. Ben’s content was incredible.”

One user said that Potter is “truly a great person and individual,” while another said he “seems like a great guy.”
