Police: Elk Grove Village driver charged in car crash that killed mother of five Andrea Garcia near Biesterfield and Meacham

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (WLS) – Charges have been filed in connection with a traffic accident in which a suburban mother of five died.

Andrea Garcia was on her way home from work late last month when another car crashed into her vehicle in Elk Grove Village.

The accident occurred on Tuesday evening, May 28, at the intersection of Biesterfield and Meacham streets.

Now a teenager who, according to police, was driving the car that hit her, must face several charges.

The charges include negligent homicide, speeding and driving without headlights.
