Man dies in hit-and-run accident with pedestrian on Mission Street in Bernal Heights

BERNAL HEIGHTS, CA (June 11, 2024) – A man died Monday in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Mission Street near 30th Street.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run accident occurred at around 3:41 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a male pedestrian in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. The driver then fled before police arrived.

Shortly afterwards, paramedics arrived and took the seriously injured victim to a hospital, where he died. Officials did not release his name.
