Niger APC suspends female chairperson over job fraud

The Nigerian branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended its deputy leader, Amina Shehu, for six months, alleging that she appointed them to political positions and stole their jobs.

The decision was taken by a five-member committee chaired by deputy party leader Zakariyya Aramm, which was tasked with investigating the matter and presenting its conclusions.

According to the Permanent Secretary for Publicity, Musa Sarkinkaji, the suspension of Amina Shehu was imposed by the State Working Committee chaired by Aminu Bobi.

DAILY POST learnt that the suspension of the State Assistant Woman Leader is in line with Article 21, subsection (5) xii of the APC amended Constitution, 2022.
