Driver injured in out-of-control semi-trailer crash in Park City

PARK CITY, Utah (ABC4) — A man was hospitalized Sunday after he was injured while trying to regain control of a semi-trailer whose brakes had failed, according to Park City Fire Department.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a car-pedestrian accident involving a tractor-trailer on Sunday afternoon, June 9.

Officials said the semi-truck lost its brakes while parked and began to roll. The driver reportedly tried to regain control of the vehicle and was injured in the process.

He was taken by ambulance to a trauma center in the Salt Lake Valley, officials said.

“There were no additional casualties or damage to private property,” Park City Fire District wrote on social media.
