First heatwave of the season approaching

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Although it is pleasant today and tomorrow, heat temperatures of over 90 degrees Fahrenheit are forecast for this weekend.

The afternoon will be lovely with mostly sunny skies and maximum temperatures between 25 and 27 degrees. Humidity will continue to drop throughout the day.

Tomorrow it will be dry and sunny with maximum temperatures around 27 degrees. Humidity will remain low, so the weather will remain pleasant.

LATE WEEK AND WEEKEND

Temperatures of up to 32 degrees Celsius are expected this weekend.

The warming will begin on Wednesday. Maximum temperatures will rise to 30 to 35 degrees in the afternoon, with plenty of sunshine.

Thursday will be hot, with highs between 30 and 35 degrees across the Mid-State. You’ll also notice the return of humidity, but it will still be bearable.

Temperatures on Friday will rise to 35 to 40 degrees, with very humid weather. Lots of sunshine is expected, so you’ll want to find ways to escape the heat.

Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be above 30 degrees. The heat index could be around 38 degrees all weekend. The chance of rain is currently low. Anyone heading to Bonnaroo should be well prepared for the heat!
