4 Buffalo Bills who impressed in Week 2 of OTAs

The receivers room is very busy and it wouldn’t be surprising if every week, or even every day, another player impressed. Last week, it was Chase Claypool trying to turn around his career after two down seasons in three teams (Steelers, Bears and Dolphins).

This week, however, there was a former Bills draft pick who is relatively unknown at this point, Justin Shorter. The Bills drafted Shorter in the fifth round last year, but he spent the entire season on injured reserve after being placed on the roster before the season.

Heading into 2024, Shorter is certainly in the mix for one of those roster spots, but it’s far from a guarantee, even if it’s a draft pick, with the number of people being recruited by the front office as they try to find Stefon Diggs and Gabe’s replacement. Davis.

According to to Alex Brasky with Batavia News, Shorter had a good practice this week and caught a number of passes from Mitchell Trubisky and Shane Buechele. However, it’s worth noting the quarterbacks he worked with in Trubisky and Buechele, as it indicates that Shorter is likely lower on the depth chart and has work to do if he hopes to earn a starting job.
