Marion County officials are searching for a man who sexually assaulted an elderly woman

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who forced his way into the home of a 91-year-old woman in Reddick early Sunday morning and sexually assaulted her. Sheriff Billy Woods shared the news on the office’s Facebook page on Monday. “While my detectives continue to work tirelessly to identify this individual and process the evidence, we must work together to protect our most vulnerable citizens,” Woods said. “If you know of anyone who lives alone, make sure their doors are locked, help them install security cameras, and check on them.” Woods asks Reddick residents to call the Sheriff’s Office at 352-732-9111 if they have seen anything suspicious.
