Woman seriously injured after being stabbed on Desoto Street; suspect arrested

Houston – A woman is in critical condition following a stabbing incident at a northwest Houston apartment complex. The incident happened around 1:25 p.m. in the 5500 block of De Soto Street.

Authorities say the victim, who was stabbed by a suspect, tried to get to the hospital himself. Emergency services coordinated to intercept his vehicle and provide him with immediate medical assistance. She was then transported to Ben Taub Hospital.

A witness said he saw the suspect stab the victim. The suspect was arrested by police and an investigation into the motives and circumstances of the attack is underway. The identities of the victim and suspect have not been released at this time.
