Man arrested at Roseville Galleria, accused of kidnapping woman

The woman was pulled into a black BMW and people nearby tried to help her, but the vehicle left the area.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – A man was arrested Sunday at the Westfield Galleria Mall in Roseville and accused of kidnapping his girlfriend.

Roseville police said Tuesday that officers responded to reports of a woman screaming for help near Main Street near downtown Roseville in the early morning hours of June 9.

The woman was dragged into a black BMW and people nearby tried to help her, but the vehicle drove away. An identity card was found in the area, which later turned out to be the woman’s.

Officers spoke to the woman on the phone, but she denied anything had happened. Officers went to the woman’s home in Folsom to check on her well-being, but no one answered the door.

Later Sunday, Folsom police received a call from the woman who said she had experienced domestic violence and had been dragged into a car by her boyfriend the night before.

Officers found the vehicle at the Westfield Galleria Mall in Roseville and the man inside the mall. He was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and domestic violence.
