ABC-7 First Alert: Prepare for sweltering temperatures

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – We have issued another ABC-7 Initial Alert due to heat, specifically for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Expect temperatures between 40 and 42 degrees.

Although there is a slight break from the triple-digit highs today and temperatures are hovering around 35 degrees, the heat will soon increase again.

The lowlands will see daily temperatures in the triple digits, and the mountains will also experience warmer than normal conditions.

Although there may be isolated thunderstorms over the Sacramento Mountains in the afternoon, most other areas will remain dry.

In addition, concerns about wildfires will increase in western areas later this week as winds pick up in this region.
