LEXINGTON, Kentucky (FOX 56) – A 27-year-old man has died after a nighttime accident.

According to Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn, Jacob Payne was struck by a car at the intersection of Newtown Pike and Sugar Maple Lane shortly before midnight Monday.


Lexington police said both streets were briefly closed but have since reopened.

Payne was pronounced dead at the scene.
