US and Allies: Ukraine to Use US-Made F-16s ‘This Summer’

President Joe Biden said Ukraine would use American-made F-16 fighter jets as early as “this summer” to try to repel a Russian invasion.

Biden made the announcement in a joint statement Wednesday morning with the prime ministers of Denmark and the Netherlands. The Danish and Dutch governments have begun the process of donating U.S.-made F-16s to Ukraine, with U.S. support, the leaders said.
