MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WAVY) — The suspect in a Virginia Amber Alert on Tuesday was arrested after her car broke down in Kentucky, according to authorities.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Ashley Griffith was on Battlefield Memorial Highway, about an hour south of Lexington, around 5:30 p.m. when a deputy responded to a 911 call from a motorist.
