AFPI announces investigation into SBA’s voter registration company

WASHINGTON, DC –The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) announced today that it is investigating the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) partisan voter registration company.

In March, the SBA announced a voter registration agreement with the Secretary of State for Michigan, a state widely recognized as a swing state in the upcoming presidential election. The agreement is part of a Biden administration executive order designed to weaponize federal voter registration agencies.

“The SBA’s actions to register voters in Michigan under the guise of supporting small businesses are, at best, a ridiculous use of resources and, at worst, a violation of the Hatch Act,” said Linda McMahon, CEO and Chair of the Center for the American Worker at AFPI“We can hope that the SBA will remain bipartisan in its voter registration efforts, but given its focus on a swing state like Michigan, we see no guarantee of that. When I served as SBA administrator, our focus was on strengthening small businesses and growing our economy – not on obvious electoralism.”

The agreement between the SBA and the state of Michigan could prove to be an illegal use of taxpayer money by the Biden administration to win re-election.

AFPI will thoroughly investigate this agreement and promptly communicate the results of the investigation.
