Jamestown man arrested after standoff on Eastside

A Jamestown man was arrested after a Stalemate on the east side of Jamestown.

Jamestown Police They were reportedly called to a home on the east side shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday to assist probation officers with a home inspection.

According to police, the 43-year-old Robert Schroeder barricaded himself in the house and threatened to shoot the officers on site.

Officers confirmed that there were other people in the house, and Schroeder began threatening them as well.

For safety reasons, officers forcibly entered the house and arrested Schroeder without further incident.

He was taken to the city jail and charged with second-degree obstruction of public order and second-degree false imprisonment.
