BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – Good morning, NCWV! The work week is almost over, and with the end of the work week comes the heat wave we’ve been talking about for the past few days. Highs are returning to seasonal averages today, with temperatures around 80°F in the lowlands and around 77°F in the higher elevations. With these temperatures, we can also expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies for the next few days. Tomorrow, we’ll see some chance of precipitation and storms in the more mountainous regions, starting in the early afternoon and continuing into the late evening. However, these highs will rise to the highs of 80°F in the lowlands and 80°F in the higher elevations. Unfortunately, this heat wave won’t end until our next frontal system passes through Tuesday evening, bringing more showers and storms to our area. Daniel Niemasz has all this and more in your First Alert Forecast.
