Albany drug dealer arrested | New York State Police

On July 10, 2024, the New York State Police Troop K Violent Gang and Narcotics Team (VGNET), in cooperation with the Community Stabilization Units of Troop K and Troop G, Troop K Major Crimes Unit, Albany Police Department, and the New York State Police Electronic Surveillance Unit, arrested Tylan M. Houze, age 26, of Albany, NY, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2and Degree, a Class A-II felony, four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd Degree, a Class B felony, feeling of an officer in a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree and obstruction of governmental administration, a Class A misdemeanor.

After a lengthy investigation, members of Troop K VGNET were able to find evidence that Tylan Houze was selling drugs in the Albany area and surrounding counties. While executing an Albany District Court search warrant, Houze attempted to flee in a 2016 Acura TL. He was arrested shortly after the crash near Morton Avenue in Albany. No one was injured.

Houze was found to be in possession of approximately 96 grams of cocaine, 56 grams of crack cocaine, 77 grams of fentanyl and over $10,000.

He was arraigned in the City of Albany Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail without bail.
